Melissa Butter
Melissa brings over 16 years of experience in Interior & Architectural Design and Project Management. She is a true artist, with a persistent work ethic, who loves creating and inspiring through her work.
Melissa graduated with honors from the Interior Design program at Sheridan College in 2008 and enriched her education by studying Architecture and Art History across Italy. With over sixteen years of experience in both commercial and residential design firms, she decided to follow her passion and established Graceful Interior Design Inc.
Throughout her career, Melissa has designed a diverse array of homes, showcasing her versatility in styles ranging from high-end luxury residences to charming farmhouses and heritage properties. Her expertise encompasses new builds, renovations, and additions, allowing her to tackle a variety of projects with confidence.
Her signature style embodies a classic and natural aesthetic, seamlessly blending modern and traditional elegance with rustic elements to create interiors that exude warmth and grace. Melissa believes that design is a source of energy and finds immense joy in infusing her enthusiasm into every project, whether large or small.
Residing on her husband’s family farm with their two children, Melissa took on the dream project of renovating their century-old red brick farmhouse. In her free time, she relishes farm life with her family, participates in yoga and Pilates classes, and delights in cooking meals from scratch.

Studio Coordinator
In her dynamic role at Graceful Interior Design, she plays a crucial behind-the-scenes part in ensuring seamless project execution.
Her responsibilities include sourcing and selecting fixtures and finishes, managing client coordination and logistics, handling accounts, and assisting in various aspects of the design process.
With a strong background in project management, design coordination, and client relations, Sydney serves as a vital link between clients, trades, and the overarching creative vision. Whether she’s assisting a project or supporting it from behind the scenes, she excels at building enduring client relationships while transforming spaces and making impactful design choices.
Outside of work, Sydney loves to travel and explore new places. She enjoys cooking in her newly renovated kitchen and cherishes the time spent with her husband and daughter.
