THE GRACEFUL DESIGN PROCESS

PHASE I.

PROJECT INITIATION

The client kick off meeting is conducted which includes detailing your wish list and reviewing what you love and do not love about your space. It is essential for us to find out how you and your family live so we can tailor the space to suit your needs now and in the future. Photos and site measurements are also taken so that we can get an accurate sense of the space.

 

We will schedule all Trade meetings so that everyone has a clear understanding of the project and all requirements.

PHASE II.

PROJECT DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

We move right into drafting floor plans of the space and start by sending over 2-3 layout configurations for you to chose from. Simultaneously, we will be busy working on the concept creative that will set all aspects of the design and outcome of the project. A budget is created for all of the interior elements in the scope of work. All finishes and fixtures will be sourced and samples will be acquired for the Project Showcase. After a layout has been approved, we continue with interior elevations and cabinetry details, furniture placement, lighting design, floor finishes and ceiling designs. 3D Realistic renderings will also be prepared so that you can fully envision your space. At the end of this phase is the Presentation!

 

This phase is the busiest for our design team and a lot goes on behind the scenes. You can be assured that we will keep you updated through this process and our presentation date will be set so that you can look forward to seeing your desired space envisioned. This is a 4-8 week process depending on the scale of the project. Client approvals and any modifications are made and finalized.

Phase III.

PROJECT DELIVERY & INSTALLATION

Once we have received all approvals, we send the documents and drawing package to the contractor for quoting. The project is then ready for construction and all elements of the project have been considered to avoid delays. Our design team will order all furniture, window treatments, fabrics, lighting, and accessories. This involves coordinating and organizing deliveries, status checks, and quality control when products arrive at the office. As well as scheduling product delivery to the client. Our job doesn’t end here. We are involved in all of the moving parts of the construction, which includes site checks, client communication, meetings on site and collaboration with the Contractor and all other trades. Being highly involved in each project has proven exceptional results and so that you can sit back worry free. And we want you to continue doing what you do best.

Phase IV.

PROJECT CELEBRATION

Once the construction is complete, we will set a date to have all design elements installed by all specialty trades. We make things extra special with a surprise reveal and have photos taken of the freshly completed space.

To get started, please fill out our online questionnaire and introduce us to your project. Images and any floor plans can be sent to info@gracefulinteriordesign.com. Following receiving your questionnaire and images, we’ll reach out to confirm receipt and organize a telephone conversation. This conversation allows us to ask a few questions to help us both figure out if we’re the right fit for one another.

After our conversation, we will schedule an in – person discovery meeting to review your space, wish list and most importantly so that we can get to know one another. This meeting is always complimentary and we believe they are a great starting point to establishing a lasting relationship and trust before moving forward.

Following our meeting, we’ll prepare a Statement of Work that outlines the specifics of your project; including services to successfully deploy the project. This is followed by a Fee Proposal.

Once you have returned the signed Fee Proposal, and provided us with engagement fee we will lock in your project on our calendar. Our Project Kick Off immediately follows and the fun begins!
